Paul’s Independent Ministry

1. Independent in his Apostleship (Gal. 1:1)

  • Not of men

  • Neither by man

  • But by Jesus Christ

2. Independent in his Gospel (Gal. 1:11,12)

  • Not after man

  • Neither received or taught it of man

  • But by the revelation of Jesus Christ

3. Independent in his Commission (Gal. 1:16,17)

  • Not with flesh and blood

  • Neither went I to Jerusalem

  • But I went unto Arabia

Three Ministerial Highlights in the life of Paul:

  1. To reveal Christ in him (Gal. 1:15,16)

  2. To bear Christ’s name (Acts 9:15)

  3. To suffer for Christ’s name sake (Acts 9:16)
